Introduction:
Hey there, veterans! At Warrior Allegiance, we’re on a mission to simplify the Disability Claim Process for all veterans seeking assistance. As a veteran-owned company, we understand that life after military service can pose a challenge. Daily routines may complicate your ability to seek and receive the help needed for VA disability compensation. Today, we’re thrilled to share some exciting news about the Texas Veterans Commission Grant Program and its positive impact on veterans’ mobility.
Free Rides for Veterans: A Game-Changing Program
Sun Metro, in collaboration with the Texas Veterans Commission Grant Program, rolls out a fantastic initiative! They invite veterans and their dependents/spouses to sign up for free rides, thanks to this generous program made possible through the Texas Veterans Committee General Assistance Grant. Starting August 1, 2023, eligible veterans and their dependents/spouses can enjoy free rides on both the Fixed Routes and the LIFT paratransit service. And here’s the best part—the registration period is open now!
What You Need to Know
This grant will cover up to a total of $50,000 worth of rides, offering 30-day passes and LIFT paratransit rides. For qualified veterans and eligible dependents and spouses, requesting a new pass within one week of the current pass expiration date is as simple as it gets. However, keep in mind that the program is subject to funding availability, and funds will distribute on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Applying is a breeze! Veterans and their dependents/spouses can call Sun Metro at (915) 212-3333 or clicking this following link to register online: https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/09f5f12683774a1a826fbca847eee301
